Machine Room-Less (MRL) Lift
An MRL lift stands for Machine Room-Less Lift. It's a type of elevator that doesn't require a separate machine room to house the motor and control equipment. Instead, the motor is installed directly in the elevator shaft, usually on the top side of the hoistway.
Key Features
- Space-saving: No need for a separate machine room.
- Energy-efficient: Typically uses gearless traction motors that consume less energy.
- Smooth & quiet operation: Thanks to modern VVVF (Variable Voltage Variable Frequency) drives.
- Modern design: Often comes with sleek interiors and advanced control panels.
- Ideal for mid-rise buildings: Usually used in residential, commercial, or small office buildings up to 20-25 floors.
